What happens next
- The right of withdrawal applies for 14 days from the day you receive the item. It is enough to send the notice before the period ends.
- The item must be returned to the seller within 14 days of sending the withdrawal notice.
- The buyer pays the cost of returning the item, unless the seller has stated otherwise.
- The seller refunds the amount paid, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the item back or receiving proof that it has been sent.
- The buyer is responsible for any reduction in the item's value if it has been used more than necessary to inspect it.
When there is no right of withdrawal
- if the seller is a private individual (consumer protection rules do not apply to the transaction);
- for items made to the buyer's specifications or personalised;
- for goods that spoil quickly;
- for opened hygiene products and sealed audio/video recordings or software;
- for items bought at a public auction that the buyer could attend in person.
